So I was just doing some research for one of the moms I'm coaching..
And I found that the FDA has an entire page dedicated to their "maximum recommended amount of lead in candy likely to be consumed frequently by small children". (Link below)
And it just made me so sad.
#1- There is no acceptable amount of lead in candy, come on now.
And #2- No candy should be consumed frequently by small children!!
And #3- if you are going to give a small child candy, please make it yourself so you can avoid the genetically modified organisms, carcinogenic pesticides, added sugars, dextrose, starch, waxes, and potentially harmful artificial colors and synthetic vitamins they pack in there.
