  1. Wash your strawberries and chop them in half. Put them in a large stainless steel pan over low heat. Add a spoonful of coconut oil if you’d like.
  2. Once the get soft mash them with a potato masher. Once your strawberries are completely mashed and have more of a liquid consistency, about 10 minutes, turn off the heat and add in honey and lemon juice (if using either).
  3. Serve mashed if you like it chunky or blend if you like it smooth. Keep it an airtight glass jar in the fridge. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes

You can also just blend the ingredients and spread on raw without cooking.

Heating changes the flavor but loses nutrients and enzymes. So have fun with it & feel free to experiment with different fruits to find your favorite flavor!
